I am searching for information regarding Nicolas Gasser (Jr.). I believe he was born in 1871, probably between January and July. His birthplace was probably in Moselle, France and his family may have been Anabaptists. His father was also named Nicolas Gasser (Sr.); his mother's first name was Catherine.

In October of 1891, Nicolas Gasser (Jr.) immigrated to the United States, departing Europe from Antwerp, Belgium on the SS Noordland, a steamship that arrived in New York City on October 1, 1891 (New York, Passenger Lists, 1820-1957, 2010). The listing for him on the ship manifest states that he was a butcher. Nicolas appears to have traveled with Magdalena/Madeline Muller and her six-year-old son, Josef. Magdalena was approximately 7 months pregnant at the time. Nicolas Gasser and Magdalena Muller married in New York City 7 days after arriving there. Magdalina/Madeline Muller was born in July of 1869 in Rimling, Moselle, France. Her parents, Chretien Muller and Katherine Roggy, were both Anabaptists.

I am looking for more information regarding Nicolas Jr.'s birthplace and the specific date of his birth, as well as details about his parents and their ancestors. I would be grateful for any help provided. I would be happy to provide information about the descendants of Nicolas Gasser and Madeline Muller in the United States, as well as information about Magdalena Muller's parents and ancestors.
