Hello, I'm a Yank researching Alexander Cardon de Sandrans. He was a younger brother of Paul François, Baron Cardon de Sandrans (1781–1848). He travelled to America with DuPont, built a tannery on the Brandywine River in Delaware, USA – married Mary Honoria Pogy and became a naturalized citizen in the state of Delaware, USA – he ended his career as a professor teaching French at the College of New Jersey – known today as Princeton University - I'm hoping that someone can verify with documentation that Alexander was a knight of Malta and also bodyguard of the King - Thanks for your time, awaiting a reply - sgl211
